Cloze – Year 5 (A1)

Description

The Cloze Procedure activities are designed to develop children’s reading comprehension and vocabulary skills using an original, non-fiction text written specifically for The Teaching Chest.

The resource contains an age-appropriate text with 10 missing words. Learners must read the text and use comprehension and grammatical/contextual cues to choose the appropriate missing word from an accompanying word bank.

With a self-checking answer sheet on the final slide, this resource is ideal for guided reading sessions, independent work or home-learning.
